عن أبي هريرة -رضي الله عنه- أنّ رسولَ الله ﷺ قال: «رُبَّ أشعَثَ مَدفُوعٍ بالأبوابِ، لو أقسَمَ علَى اللهِ لأَبَرَّهُ». رواه مُسلِم
■ أشعث: شعره غير مُرتّب. ■ مدفوع بالأبواب: ليس له جاه، وإذا استأذن على النّاس لا يستقبلونه، فلا قيمة له عند النّاس. ■ لو أقسم على الله لأبرَّه: له مكانة عند الله، لِما عنده من إيمان وحُسن ظنّ بالله، فلو أقسم على الله لوقع ما يوافق قسمَه، إكرامًا له من الله.
