قال الشيخ عمَّن يردُّ على نصيحة الناصحين من بعض الدعاة أو أتباعهم -وخاصَّةً في أثناء مناقشته في مسائل علميةٍ- بعباراتٍ مختلفةٍ مثل أن يقول: «لا تُلزمْني»، أو «لا يَلزمُني»، أو «أنا لست بمقلِّدٍ»، أو «لم أقتنع» .. :
«هذه طرقٌ ماكرةٌ وأساليبُ ملتويةٌ ما أنزل الله بها من سلطانٍ، حيث يستعملها المخالف تقصُّدًا للتخلُّص من الحقِّ الظاهر بالدليل الراجح أو الثابت دون معارضٍ وفرارًا من إقامة الحجَّة والبرهان عليه، فعند أيِّ محاصرةٍ علميةٍ يلتوي بهذا الأسلوب ليجد لنفسه مخرجًا عن الحقِّ يستمرُّ به في غَيِّه وضلاله».
