جاء في كتاب الأرج في الفرج للإمام السيوطي رحمه الله تعالى:
يا رب لا زال لطفٌ منك يشملني وقد تجدّد بي ما أنت تعلمه
فاصرفه عنّي كما عوّدتني كرماً فمن سواك لهذا العبد يرحمه
قال الإمام السيوطي: وجدت على بعض الكتب هذين البيتين وتحتهما ما صورته : يقال إنّه ما أنشدهما إنسان في شدّة إلا فرّج الله عنه وكشف غمّه وأبدل حزنه بفرح وزال عنه الهمُّ والبؤس والترح ؛ وقد جرّبتُ فوجدتُ !!
