Ng, who had pleaded not guilty to all charges, had been detained for more than 20 months. His channel was said to have contained around 120 messages and photos that incited others to vandalise pro-government shops and commit criminal damage targeting police stations. Developing social channels based on exchanging a single message isnโt exactly new, of course. Back in 2014, the โYoโ app was launched with the sole purpose of enabling users to send each other the greeting โYo.โ Members can post their voice notes of themselves screaming. Interestingly, the group doesnโt allow to post anything else which might lead to an instant ban. As of now, there are more than 330 members in the group. Over 33,000 people sent out over 1,000 doxxing messages in the group. Although the administrators tried to delete all of the messages, the posting speed was far too much for them to keep up. The groupโs featured image is of a Pepe frog yelling, often referred to as the โREEEEEEEโ meme. Pepe the Frog was created back in 2005 by Matt Furie and has since become an internet symbol for meme culture and โdegenโ culture.
