As we mentioned Josef Frank earlier this week, why not add color to the winter landscape with his phenomenal textile designs? When Frank, a successful Viennese designer, fled to Sweden in 1933 fearing Nazi persecution, it was very hard for him to get a job – Swedes were reluctant to yield their jobs to Jewish immigrants. It was Estrid Ericson, the founder of Svenskt Tenn, who offered him a helping hand.
