PRESIDENT: Thank you. I now give the floor to the delegate of Switzerland to be followed by Pakistan.
DELEGATE: Madame chair, we wish to begin by thanking with_the HO secretariat the bureau and all Member_States for their involvement in the process and the progress made in negotiation on amendment on the IHR. The IHR are an important WHO instrument an instrument to prevent and control cross border propagation of disease.
From the very outset of the negotiations Switzerland advocated to ensure that this Working_Group develop targeted amendments to strengthen the current IHR, the technical nation and the universal A public ability of the instrument must be maintained and prevented. Switzerland will continue to commit constructively on the process until the negotiations are finalised to adopt a consensual outcome at this assembly
