I had my old man gamer moment tonight.
I’m 34 and have been a console gamer since the PS1. I love solo gaming and try to play as much as life / work allows me with the exception of Rust where I play PvE servers. My son is 10 and also loves gaming. Like most kids he plays online multiplayer like Fortnite, Rocket League and more recently CoD.
He asked me to play CoD with him tonight so I obliged. After him laughing at me dying a whole lot in the online lobbies I asked if he wanted to try the campaign mode. He didn’t even know that was a thing and was shocked you could play the game offline and follow a story. At that point I realised kids don’t even play the campaign. They just go straight to multiplayer and buy all the latest skins and pay to win crap.
Anyone else have any boomer gaming moments?
