توفي اليوم العالم اللغوي د. ف. عبد الرحيم عن ٩٠ عامًا، أمضى أكثر من شطرها في المدينة المنورة، وقضاها أستاذًا في الجامعة الإسلامية بدعوةٍ من الشيخ عبد العزيز بن باز رحمه الله، ثم أصبح مراجعًا في مجمع الملك فهد لطباعة المصحف الشريف.
يتقن ويقرأ عددًا من اللغات منها: العربية والإنجليزية والأردية والفارسية واليونانية والعبرية.. ولذلك كَتَب مؤلفاتٍ لا يقدر عليها غيرُه لاطلاعه الواسع على اللغات مع علمه العميق بالعربية، وهذه أهم مؤلفاته رحمه الله وغفر له وعوض الأمة خيرًا:
